The Northern Ireland Prison Service (NIPS) (The Buyer) is an Executive agency of the Department of Justice NI (DOJ NI) and is responsible for the management of His Majesty’s Prisons in Northern Ireland. There are three Prisons in Northern Ireland comprising HMP Maghaberry and HMP Magilligan, and Hydebank Wood Secure College. The Buyer seeks to establish a contract for the supply and delivery of 2 vehicles for the transportation of prisoners within Maghaberry prison to replace those currently in use. The current vehicles used for this purpose ensure that the necessary security arrangements are in place to enable the movement of high-risk prisoners from their residential location across the prison site to attendance at visits/activities and appointments. The contract will commence upon award and will continue until expiry of the vehicle warranty period. Battery pack must have a warranty no less than 8 Yrs. / 100000 miles. Body, chassis and drive train must have a warranty no less than 2 yrs. / 40000 miles Suppliers should refer to the Specification for full details of the requirements.
