Description:
The Western Health and Social Care Trust (the Authority) is seeking to appoint up to two Contractors to a framework, under which the Authority may enter into Call-off Contracts for the Survey, Supply, Installation and Recovery of Overhead Tracking Hoists in Domestic Premises, as prescribed by Western Health and Social Care Trusts Occupational Therapists. The framework may incorporate Building, Mechanical, Electrical and Asbestos Works and other related specialist works. It is expected that the Suppliers shall adopt an integrated supply chain approach to managing the provision of the works to be delivered under the Framework and any Call-off Contract. Each Supplier will be expected to have significant flexible and readily available resources in order to provide the Authority with a rapid response and an ability to deal with emergency type works. It is a condition of the term service contract that Suppliers shall make provision to have required maintenance repair works carried out 24 hours per day and 365 days per year (including all weekends and all holiday periods), to cover the required maintenance period. Successful tenderers shall be appointed to the framework for a period of three years plus one year. It is anticipated that any Call-off Contracts awarded shall have a term of up to two years plus a one year plus one year extension, subject to the terms of the relevant Call-off Contract. The Framework and any Term Service Contract will involve the design and installation of Overhead Tracking Hoists and associated building, mechanical, electrical and asbestos works. The Suppliers shall be appointed as Principal Designer and Principal Contractor in compliance with the CDM Regulations (NI) 2016. The Suppliers awarded Contracts may be awarded Call-off Contracts under which they shall deliver the service, which shall include, but not limited to: • Survey (Including Design); • Supply; • Installation; • Recovery; • Storage; • Reinstallation; and • Routine Servicing (during warranty period); • Planned Maintenance (during warranty period); • Untoward Maintenance (during warranty period); of Overhead Tracking Hoists in Domestic Premises. The number, value and scale of all or any works are indeterminate at this time. The Authority is not under any obligation to award any Contracts or Call-off Contracts or instruct any Task Orders (as defined under the NEC4 Term Service Short Contract) under a Call-off Contract. Task Orders will be instructed at the absolute discretion of the Authority and in accordance with the needs of the service and the resources available. No commitment is given with regard to guaranteed quantum and continuity of work.
