DFE - SWC - Planned and reactive maintenance of engineering welding and plasma cutting machines The South West College are seeking a Supplier(s) that can provide reactive maintenance and planned preventative maintenance on the various machines and equipment across its sites. An annual planned preventative maintenance schedule of all equipment is required throughout the life of the contract to ensure that Health and Safety regulations are met. Reactive callouts to remedy any faults and breakdowns are required as and when they occur, with set response times for callouts. The Contract will be divided into two (2) Lots and tenderers can bid for one or more of the Lot(s). For each Lot that a tenderer submits a bid, they must be able to provide the services as detailed within this Specification; Lot 1 Engineering and Metal Work Equipment – This lot encompasses multiple educational sites located in Omagh, Dungannon, Enniskillen, and Cookstown. These campuses serve as teaching facilities delivering a diverse range of curricula. The specified equipment is integral to practical instruction, ensuring that students are proficiently trained in the safe and effective use of each item in accordance with industry standards Lot 2 Welding and Plasma Cutting Equipment. Lot 2 comprises a range of welding and plasma cutting equipment essential for technical instruction across multiple disciplines. This includes plasma cutters and a variety of welding systems, each employing distinct methodologies for metal joining. The primary techniques supported include MIG (Metal Inert Gas), TIG (Tungsten Inert Gas), stick welding, and flux-cored arc welding. These tools are fundamental to delivering hands-on training that aligns with current industry practices and safety standards The Buyer reserves the right to add to and/or remove items from these lists or change campus location depending upon the requirements of the South West College, throughout the life of the contract to meet their operational needs.
