The minerals policy will set the framework for mineral exploration and development, therefore a Strategic Environmental Assessment (SEA) that fully meets the requirements of The Environmental Assessment of Plans and Programmes Regulations (Northern Ireland) 2004, and a Habitats Regulations Assessment (HRA) that fully meets the requirements of Regulation 43 of the Conservation (Natural Habitats, etc.) Regulations (Northern Ireland) 1995 (as amended) are required.
