Description:
Derry City and Strabane District Council is seeking submissions for the creation, delivery, and production of three large scale installations/animations as part of its Derry Halloween Festival 2024 and 2025. There will be three lots within the City of Bones as follows: Lot 1 - Society Street, Magazine Street Upper, Upper Derry Walls (Society Street to Stable Lane). Lot 2 - The Diamond and Bishop’s St (within walls only) and Lot 3 - Ebrington Square (Significant piece). Each Lot will feature a range of installations, displays, dressing and animations which will help to assist with crowd control. A number of trading opportunities will be identified within each of the lots in order to give audiences visiting each area, a fully immersive experience, that is self-contained. It is hoped that this will encourage an even spread of visitors across the city on any given night of the event, thereby reducing mass movement of crowds. Successful companies per lot will be appointed for the 2 year period. While proposals are only being sought for year 1 at this stage, Council will work with the successful organisation to develop year 2 submissions after the successful delivery of Year 1 2024.
