- Derry City and Strabane District Council, in partnership with Tourism Northern Ireland (TNI) and Visit Derry are seeking a suitable company to design, produce and deliver a flagship exhibition on the Derry Girls Programme, its popularity and legacy with a view to promoting tourism to the city. The successful company will also be responsible for delivering a programme of events to accompany the exhibition. The exhibition will be held in the Tower Museum and will launch on Thursday 27th of July 2023 and will run for a full year. The exhibition must be adaptable to travel in a suitable format to other venues around the UK and the Republic of Ireland thereafter. Derry City and Strabane District Council (DCSDC) Museum and Heritage Service (MHS) will be the commissioning authority in partnership with Tourism Northern Ireland (TNI) and Visit Derry. The DCSDC Curator and the DCSDC Tourism Manager will be the primary points of contact throughout the life of the project. These officers will work in conjunction with the wider museum team along with the successful company during the exhibition design process and will also have access to any relevant museum and archive contemporary collections. The successful company/organisation, under the initial guidance of the Curator, will be responsible for the overall concept design, production and delivery of the exhibition content including all interpretation (both physical and digital), equipment, imagery and programming, and in partnership with the Curator coordinate and deliver the programme outputs as listed below: Part 1 – Research, Design and Delivery of Exhibition Content. Part 2 – Film/Animation. Part 3 – Digital Interactives. Part 4 – Learning Activities. Part 5 – Events Programme. Part 6 – Facilitate and Coordinate Stakeholder Meetings. Part 7 – Marketing and Promotion. Part 8 – Evaluation and Report. Please refer to the CfT documents for further details.
