Description:
The contract is for the provision of a flood alleviation scheme for Lisburn. The project involves the replacement and upsize of the concrete culvert carrying the Flush Bridge Stream and construction of new, offline, lengths of culvert. As part of the works, it will be necessary for the Contractor to design and construct all temporary works deemed necessary to allow safe construction of the permanent works. Principal Work Activities A. Dense vegetation and tree clearance; B. Working on live watercourses, managing existing river flows and over-pumping, where required C. Temporary works design and construction D. Installation of large diameter (750mm diameter and greater) concrete culvert in public roads and private land, including temporary traffic management.
