Description:
This tender opportunity is linked to the Communities in Transition (CIT) Project which delivers Action B4 of the Executive Action Plan on Tackling Paramilitary Activity, Criminality and Organised Crime. TEO is seeking to appoint a Contractor for the provision of a Health and Wellbeing Programme in the West Belfast CIT Area. Annex A of the Specification of Requirements Schedule provides a map of the designated area; this is the Lower Falls, Twinbrook, Poleglass, Upper Springfield, Turf Lodge and Ballymurphy areas of West Belfast. The Contractor will design and deliver a Health and Wellbeing programme that increases awareness of Health and Wellbeing Services available in the West Belfast CIT Area. The Contractor will need to demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of the West Belfast CIT area and the health and wellbeing issues within it. The programme will include the active participation of Volunteers. These Volunteers will be sought through engagement with a minimum of 15 Community and Voluntary Organisations / Groups within the West Belfast CIT Area. The Health and Wellbeing programme will be delivered in two phases of support. Phase 1 is the Prevention Phase which aims to develop community awareness to support the identification and prevention of Health and Wellbeing issues at an early stage. Phase 2 is the Intervention Phase which focuses on issues that have materialised and seeks to provide a direct response for the residents of West Belfast who are likely to benefit from this Intervention by mitigating the effects of Health and Wellbeing problems once they have been identified. The Contractor will be expected to start delivering the Contract by late December 2019 / early January 2020. The Contract will run for a total period of 15 months from the date of Contract commencement.
