UCD - Provision of Electronic Signage for EU SWIM Project The System for Bathing Water Quality Monitoring (SWIM) project aims to develop a system for the prediction of bathing water quality and install real time electronic signage. This innovative project will enable short-term pollution to be predicted and the information disseminated to the public though a range of media channels, including an app, web updates and electronic signage at beaches. This will serve to help protect public health, significantly improve communication to members of the public, and in doing so contribute to the promotion of tourism. The SWIM project is funded under the INTERREG VA Programme, managed by the Special EU Programmes Body (SEUPB). University College Dublin is the lead partner and the Northern Irish project partners are Agri-Food and Biosciences Institute and Keep Northern Ireland Beautiful. To date one electronic sign has been installed at each of the nine SWIM beaches. See www.swimproject.eu for further information on the SWIM project and the location of the SWIM beaches. Additional electronic signage is now to be installed at each of the nine SWIM beaches. This document constitutes an invitation to tender for the provision and delivery of 22 electronic signs for the SWIM beaches in Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland. The signs are to be delivered to the relevant councils before the end of April 2020. Further information is available in the attached document. 13/01/2020 Link Doc 13-01-20.docx
